小説ダース・モール・シリーズのうち、『"SHADOW HUNTER" 闇の狩人』は、日本でもハードカバー版として、お馴染みの富永和子女史の手により翻訳、出版されたので読まれた方はかなりの数に上ると思われる。エピソード１前史として描かれたこの物語には、日本では殆ど知られていない、更に遡る物語が用意されている。『"SABOTEUR" 破壊工作員（仮）』と名付けられたそのショート・ストーリーは、e-Bookとして出版されており、ダーク・ホース・コミックの『"DARTH MAUL" ダース・モール』シリーズとの間を埋める未訳の物語である。最近、ニュー・ジェダイ・オーダー・シリーズの『"EDGE OF VICTORY II: REBIRTH" バランス・ポイント』と『"EDGE OF VICTORY I: CONQUEST" 征服』の間を繋ぐ物語として『"RECOVERY" 復旧（仮）』が、こちらもe-Bookとしてリリースされたばかり。スピンアウトのすべてを語るには、もはやインターネット無しでは語れない時代に突入してしまった。
